The five days Teachers training program was organised at Bhaktivednata National School, Ananda Bazaar, North Tripura (Kanchanpur)

Aim of the training was to educate teachers and administrative staff of the school about educational philosophy, the modern education system, proper behaviour with students, exemplary character building, big vision of teacher, becoming creative and making students skill full, going beyond the books.

There were nine participants:

  1. Dwija Mohan Reang (Principle)
  2. Basanti Reang (Hostel superintendent)
  3. Dhaneswari Reang
  4. Dyutiman Reang

5.Pragati Reang

  1. Kanaklata Reang
  2. Levika Reang
  3. Bahulal Reang
  4. Kumar ayeswar Reang

All Nine participants were divided into three groups each group having three members, and upon end of each session all group were encouraged to do group presentation on delivered topics.

 

On fist day groups were showing low in confidence as it was their first time but slowly all group shown good confidence and did better and better presentation.

Group Presentation by each group on delivered topic after end of every session each days, here it was encouraged to each group members to present on topics given to them based on the learning experience.

Vocation training was organised on basis of educational philosophy of Nai-Talim at the end of class room session on fourth day by keeping in following aims:

  1. To develop more interactive habit among teachers and students.
  2. Developing the respects for the craft and work among students.
  3. To give hand on experience to students and also developing hand skills
  4. Understanding different branch of science from the craft work
  5. Understanding economics of village and developing the self-sufficiency habit among the students.
  6. Recognising and giving respect to skill people of village
  7. Understanding of self sufficiency and sustainability levels.
  8. Giving confidence among students for doing their own works and helping parents etc.

Craft training to teachers and students

Carpentry is one of the important craft chosen so that students understand its day to day uses in our daily life, understanding science behind that such as mathematical measurements, different types of wood their geographical location and hand skill involvement.

Bamboo work: bamboo work is also very important craft of village; from bamboo different items can be made and is also environmental friendly and better then plastic baskets which are environment polluting. Students were given knowledge of using bamboo items such as different types of baskets for various purpose and different items made from bamboo and their day to day uses. 

Gardening is related to Agriculture: and is one of the oldest professions of civilized human beings, students and teachers made awareness on developing habits of making Kitchen garden for getting fresh and chemical free vegetables making natural manures and fertilizers, understanding of different varieties of seed from vegetable plant to fruits, cereals, spices, medicinal etc. Different seasons etc.

This task helps students to come out from class room and developing a learning habit from directly from mother nature by observation by using the knowledge gained in class room.

Students sowing first seed of their life, they were very enthusiastic and shown team spirit and cooperation among themselves. This also developed more leaning and friendly relationship among teachers also.

In conclusion teachers were happy to receive such training and said they will use all the experience, skill and confidence on various matters which they gained during course of training and said will use in their teaching.
